Product Details

Enjoy an efficient full-body workout without heading to the gym with the Sole E95 elliptical trainer. Boasting a heavy 30-pound flywheel, a high gear ratio not found on most comparable models, and a pair of upper body handles, the E95 delivers an extremely smooth workout with plenty of top-end resistance. Users will also appreciate the unique oversize and adjustable foot pedals, which were designed in collaboration with a leading physical therapist and sports enthusiast. The pedals are not only extra large, but also feature a 2-degree inward slope that reduces the ankle and knee stress that's common in other elliptical machines. The collaboration also produced a revolutionary foot pedal angle adjustment not found on any other elliptical. Taking into account that not everyone walks the same way, Sole engineers made the E95's pedals adjustable to fit the way you walk. This also reduces the likelihood of numb toes and sore Achilles tendons.

Workout specifics include 20 resistance levels, 10 total programs (including two custom and two heart-rate programs), and a 20-inch stride length. Perhaps the handiest feature from a user perspective, however, is the easy-to-use electronic console, which integrates a red/green display, a cooling fan, and a water bottle holder. Additional features include stationary handlebars with built-in pulse sensors for monitoring your heart rate; a heart rate chest strap for hands-free pulse monitoring; heavy-duty rails with smooth-riding wheels on the back; and a rear plastic shroud that adds additional stability for aggressive use. The E95, which offers a maximum weight capacity of 400 pounds, carries the following warranties: lifetime on the frame, five years on all parts and electronics, and two years on the labor.

Great Machine, January 25, 2009, By Juan

I am a long distance runner, who was looking for something to cross train. Also, my wife was tired of going to the gym (hard to do with the kids), and wanted something for the house. I did a lot of research before deciding on the sole e95. There are other machines which are better such as precor (and cost almost twice as much), but for the money this is the best. I have the 2009 model. From what I can tell, the big difference with the 2009 model is that it has the incline feature, which the 2008 model did not have. I have had the machine for about 4 months now, and use it every other day for an hour. It has held up well. I like the variety of fitness programs, the heart rate monitor, and its sturdiness. If you are serious about fitness or just beginning, I highly recommend the machine. One piece of advice….if you aren't good at putting things together or don't have the patience, get the assembly included. I did. It cost about $200 or so, and was worth every penny. They brought the machine up to the room we wanted it in, assembled it, and took all the debris with them.

Best in Class, January 23, 2009, By Chip Wilson

I've owned this elliptical for about three months now and I'm very happy with it. Keep in mind..

- The free shipping can take up to 10 days. It's free. If you want to get it quicker you can pay an additional expense and have it within a week. I like free and mine came in seven days.

- It's heavy. This is a good thing. I owned a schwinn 418 (junk) before this machine and it would wobble when I used it. Annoying. The Sole machine is solid and doesn't wiggle a bit. (Thank you Sole for giving me a machine that has mass and can handle a hard workout without worrying about it flipping over!) I suggest finding the place you want to put it and assemble it there. It does have wheels on it so it can be moved without too much trouble if needed. If you're worried about the weight during assembly get a strong friend to help, or pay the additional fee and have them deliver and set it up for you. Please don't jump on Sole for it being heavy. Remember the weight cost Sole money too in additional shipping and materials. The last thing we want them to do is cheapen their product into some flimsy hunk of junk like most of the other home fitness equipment so that it's easier to assemble.

- Take your time with the assembly process. It's not that tough. Just open the box, lay out all the parts in an organized fashion, and have some patience. The assembly manual has an illustrated parts breakdown and instructions. Use the two and you should be fine.

- The machine is very smooth in operation and has a good selection of programs. My personal favorites are HR1 or HR2. In either of these programs you tell the machine what target heart rate you want and it'll adjust the elevation and resistance to keep you close to your target. This is really cool so all you have to do is put the heart rate monitor on your chest enter your weight, age, workout duration, and intensity, hit start and start watching tv. The machine does all the work of maintaining your intensity so that you can keep your mind off the workout and on you show. This makes workouts go much faster! It's also very quite.

- Bottom line: I'm a workout enthusiast and been on several club and home machines. There is no doubt that for the price there isn't a better machine out there. I find peace of mind knowing there is a stellar warrantee, something I wished I'd of had with my schwinn (~300 bucks in parts…my labor). I bought this machine because of my experience with a F83 Sole treadmill - three years of use (2-3 times a week) and still works great. I know this is a real pump-up for sole, but it's just nice to have products that work.

E95 is a great buy, November 3, 2008, By B. Purcell

One of the only elliptical machines to feature a full warranty and powered incline at this price. If you haven't purchased one yet, you should. We just had this delivered over the weekend. The assembly was easy and went together quick. It is an awesome looking machine!
